Hello! My name is Alexis Pettway, and I am here to serve your health, fitness, and sports medicine needs! I graduated from California Baptist University in 2010 with a Masters degree in Athletic Training, with a Bachelors degree in Health and Exercise Science with focus on Physical Therapy in 2004 from Centenary College of Louisiana. I am a CPR and First Aid Instructor for American Heart Association. I worked as a Personal Trainer from 2006 to 2009 for 24 Hour Fitness and LA Fitness respectively. During my tenure with these companies, I helped over 100 members and guests with their fitness goals, ranging from weight loss, toning, losing baby weight, muscle gain, flexibility, and all other fitness goals including diet and nutrition. I also specialize in Sports Medicine and Injury Prevention for athletes, and for the general population.

If you’re having trouble beginning an exercise plan or following through, you’re not alone. Many of us struggle getting out of the sedentary rut, despite our best intentions. My workout plans are easy to follow, attainable, and I can help you reach your goals in a reasonable time length! Check back each week with new and efficient workout videos!
diet
Eating a healthy diet is not about strict limitations, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. It’s about maintaining clean eating with our favorite not so healthy foods consumed in moderation, combined with an active lifestyle. Having a cheat meal doesn’t hurt every now and then, as long as you get back to healthy eating for the next meal! I will post different recipes 1-2 times a month, including all healthy eating, such as Keto friendly recipes, Vegetarian/Vegan options, and fat burning foods that help speed up metabolism!
nutritional advice
Good nutrition is one of the keys to a healthy life. You can improve your health by keeping a balanced diet. You should eat foods that contain vitamins and minerals. I will be posting the best foods to help improve your overall health, and which foods to stay away from while maximizing your workouts! Keeping a food/workout journal can help you keep track of your workouts, as well as monitor what you eat. Remember, staying hydrated is just as important as healthy eating!

You don't have to give up taste and satisfaction in order to eat healthy. We have helpful information on the fundamentals of healthy cooking, complete with tips, tricks, and tools to help you create delicious and nutritious meals in your own kitchen. I will post a variety of different recipes for all healthy food eaters, and also for those picker eaters as well!

People gain weight by consuming more calories than they burn, so eating fewer unhealthy foods combined with cardio, weight training and consuming healthier food options can help. However, other factors play a role, such as genetic factors, metabolism, hormones, the type of food you eat, your body type, and lifestyle. Despite these obstacles, staying focused on your goals, maintaining a balanced diet with a regular exercise programs can help you attain your weight loss goals!

Building and gaining muscle is beneficial to the human body. Eating protein rich foods can help the body gain muscle, which helps you burn more calories, and increase the body’s metabolism. Not having a healthy body weight may lead to health illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, or digestive problems. I offer a wide range of exercise regimes, including muscle gain for every individual!
